ABOUT OUR ASSOCIATION
Welcome to the Yorkshire Ladies Bowling Association

The Association was established in 1988 to promote and foster the game of Ladies Indoor Bowls within the county boundaries of Yorkshire. Affiliated and members of the E.I.B.A. Ltd we were winners in 1999 and 2015 of the Atherley Trophy which is the England National County competition and were runners up in the same competition in 2001 and 2010.
We are very proud of our ladies and affiliated clubs who have won National and International titles and also have represented England at the highest level for both the Under 18's, Under 25's and Senior International teams.
Any ladies section of clubs which are affiliated to the E.I.B.A. Ltd and are within the agreed Yorkshire Boundaries are welcome to become members of the Association.

LEAGUES
The Yorkshire Ladies Indoor Bowling Association have two inter county leagues; the Yorkshire Inter Club league and the North Eastern Ladies Leagues.

To become affiliated to the association you have to join the Yorkshire League. The North Eastern League is usually for ladies who haven't played for long and for them to get involved in a competitive match. Clubs are not forced to play in this league as part of the affiliation but clubs can only have a team in this league if they have one in the Yorkshire League. They are both played on Saturdays but not on the same day. 2 teams play away and 2 play at home.

Yorkshire also compete in the Atherley Trophy which is full County level with every county throughout the country competing for this major honour.
